A Womens Precious Gift

by Jodie Phillips   Feb 5, 2008

To carry a child
Is a precious gift
That only a women is blessed with

The moment a baby is conceived
Thats when the connection starts,
Will it be a daughter or a son
No matter what sex it is, For eternity that bond will last.

A mother will carry you in her womb,
For 9 months she will feel y ou and watch you bloom.

Then she will bring you in to this world,
Just like i did and now you are both my world.

The first time i held you
I couldn't believe you were here,
I felt a mixture of emotions
One being fear.

Fear of anyone hurting you
Or taking you away,
The love that i felt
I was totally amazed.

I brought you in to this world
You now rely on me,
From that moment on
I vowed to be the best mum i could be.

You will rely on me forever
My precious Little babies,
I will be there to feed you, dress you and look after you
Until you are able.

Nothing will ever come before you both
Not anyone, not even me
You are more important than anything
Even the air that i breathe.

I will travel with you through your changes
Crawling, your 1st steps and school years,
Changing you, teaching you, watching you develop
Even seeing you face your fears.

I will be there to comfort you when you are scared
To wipe away your tears
No matter how old or big you are
A cuddle from your mummy will always be here.

I hope i will never fail you
Even though i have already made mistakes,
When your old enough to read this
I hope you can can agree, that my vow i did not break.
