Facing The Future

by Teria   Feb 6, 2008

Childish manufactors build up bodies of plastic.
Facing devilish meanings of some sort - -
charring the facaded face to dirt.

Infested cockroaches break their shells into pieces.
Facing the world head on, too soft - -
for the predator was caught.

Caloric intake rises with each sobbing wet pillow.
Facing voices within your own head - -
leaves the truth unsaid.

It's not about how you were, but your present.
For, facing the future with courage - -
leaves you broken in discourage.
