Standing there a tear in her eye

I closed my eyes and slipped away
To another place another day...

I needed someone to hold me tight
to tell me everything was alright...

You wanted to be a part of me
you wanted to hold me tight...

You wonder why I sit all alone
All alone in the dark...

For all the lies I'm walking away
For all the things you never say...

To try and change the way I am
To even try to think you can...

Another friend
To be close to...

They say as a new person comes into the world,
That someone is taken away...

Tears are running from my eyes,
kiss me...
