whats your religon?

*tear* I'm a lost little girl...Cofused and...blah blah...I have no religion...O.o that is to say I'm still searching for mine. I have ruled out quite a few so far though

Im a christian. But im a Pro not a Cat. Id still nevr say "oh my g*d" tho, because I think its insulting to the big man upstairs.

Ive only just seen this topic, but here goes. i am a Christian. I dont have a denomination though i go to an anglican church.

No christians didnt crucify Jesus, religous people did. Christians are people who believe in Jesus and follow His teachings so that doesnt make sense.

Apethetic Soul - why do you say it would be funny that one person went through so much paina dn sacrficed His life so that other peopl could live.

People who think Christianity is illogical -

It is proven Jesus existed that is a historical fact, and to quote CS Lewis, Jesus could have only been three things (logically speaking) Who He said He was, A madman, or The devil.

He could not have just been a prophet or else half of what He said was lies as He said He was the Messaih.

He could not have just been a good man because He did miracles (which are also recorded in history) and again if He was a good man He would not have lied about who He was.

Also for to be the Son of God He had to fullfill about 500 prophecies from the old testament. He is the only person in history who has done this (and no He couldnt have faked them because a lot of them are in relation to His birth, and His bloodline)

Also for people who think Christianity is illogical believing the world was created through a big bang and we just grew into what we are is crazy and illogical. It's not proven, it's a theory.

hiya Gemma, yes sorry i was wrong there about who crucified Jesus. but they were the ones who wanted Him killed, and got Him arrested. The romans couldnt care less if it wasnt for the pressure the religious leaders were putting on them. but yes you're right they Romans did actually kill Jesus.

ABout my denomination, I go tot he church becauser it is the best one to meet my needs and I have been there since i was 2, that does not meani am of their denomination, i don't agree with all their teachings (eg. confirmation) and i dont particularly agree totally with any denominations particular teachings so i would not say i am any of those denominations.

I do really respect the Catholic church though, they have stood firm and not changed for society or anything with their views on abortion and gay priests etc but could i ask you whether you agree with their adoration of Mary and their belief Jesus had no brothers and sisters?

I'm a christian....not too sure of my denomination, and I really need to go to church. ;}

i am muslim but, i believe in allah and all, but am not that into religion.

I'm catholic though I don't really know my religion all that well.

I'm a Liberal Jew. I am also an atheist. Don't worry, I'll explain.

OK, I am exceptionally proud to be a Jew and I enjoy following the customs and learning about my ancestors. However, I do not believe in God. I prefer the feeling of community one feels when belonging to a congregation as to the actual believing in God.

I go to synagogue and I know the prayers better than most of the people there. I fast on Yom Kippur. I eat apples and honey on ROsh Hashanah ^_^ I even had my Bat Mitzvah. All without believing in God.

That is what I feel is the best part about Judaism. It's not like Christianity or Islam. It's not about believing in God and if you don't you're going to go to Hell. It's about choices and the ones that you choose to make.

I personally do not believe in God because I frankly have no reason to.

Being a Liberal Jew permits me to come up to the bimah, read from the Torah, lead services, and be a pillar in my Youth Group even though I am woman. (I'm an adult (woman) in the Jewish community because I am over the age of 13.)

I do not keep kosher. I love bacon and cheeseburgers too much. :-P

I'm a Christian Non-denominational Church Going Girl...I Believe In King Jesus...And Our Father In The Heavens For Which We Give All The Glory And The Praise To....Basicly My Religion Isn't Based On Too Much Ritual Of Church.. (very questioning) Christian...not wholly I suppose, and, yes, that is possible...you can believe some of what is in a religion; you can practice only what you agree upon; and blah blah blah.

Most likely you're stuck w/the religion your parents claim...you're brought up a certain way and boy does it seem to disappoint them (usually) when you choose a diff path...religion is usually forced upon you or if your parents are religious you may no nothing of any religion...not many people go out searching for the "right" religion for themselves...it can be all or nothing...you can go along with it...you can simply believe in a God...there is so much........

I honestly can't be the ONLY Buddhist on this is can I? This feels like advertising but...

Buddhism is a religion that started in India and spread all over Asia before they had European contact. It's basically the belief that the world is balanced between good and evil and when a person achieves that perfect balance, (s)he'll reach enlightment.

There's other details about it here and there but it just emphasizes my previous paragraph. A Buddhist can also look at other religions as it is acceptable. Buddha said that as long as a person has found a path towards happiness, it doesn't matter who they follow.

I'm done preaching.

i don't believe in religion. i mean..im good with people that do...and aken sol..i dated a buddhist for a very long time even thought bout going into it. i still keep in touch with him! but anywayz...i've read the bible and koran (sorry if i spelled that wrong) and i haven't found one...i don't believe in god either. from my point of view its great y'all do..but i haven't seen enough good in the world to think that there is a god. but i used to be cathlioc...like heavy into it. sorry i can't spell!
