Goodbye 2005, Hello diet!

    Yay! I know I not the only one who has gained weight over the holidays or at least isn't comfortable with their weight, so anyone feel like joining me on a diet. Nothing drastic, just laying off the junk food a bit, lol.

    agreed! I want to be in great shape when this years Spring Break comes along!
    So what should we give up?
    Last year I gave up soda/pop. I can proudly say I have not had one since!

    Gaining weight!? How I envy you, lol. Yeah sit on the couch, and eat eat eat. Don't excerise and be a bum. Actually hun if you are eating right and you are still 100 then that is a good place for your weight to be. You could try weightlifting to gain some muscule (muscule weights more than fat, but it doesn't sound like you have too much fat to worry about, lol.) I guess I can see where you are coming from, but still baby I have to say that I would die (not literally, I already dropped the anerexia thing a while ago) to be 100 lb! You could try to eat more junk food, but maybe you already do. I guess that is the best I got for you. I just gain weigh, and I have no clue how lol so I am not too much help.

    Madison as far as the actually diet goes, I was thinking to lay off on the junk food, like maybe only one sweet thing a day and maybe graduate to none. You would be really surprised how much cooking youe own food is healthier for you. I usually don't have much time, but when I can I try to cook my own stuff instead of eat all the packaged stuff. Ummm I am also a bit of an athlete so I was going to start lifting or running or something to get rid of my massive love handles and be ready for Lacrosse (my spring sport.) So yeah, the diet is up to you I guess. If we all want to agree on something to do that could work great cuz then we could encourage each other and check up a bit lol. Just a thought, just I really wanna loose some pounds, but I don't know if I have the resolve to do it all on my own. It's up to you guys on what you want to decide on I am open to basically anything. (except nothing drastic like starving, that really does work guys, trust me on this one.)

    Try the shakes they sell at health food stores for weight lifters to gain weight. That is what I had to do in High School so I would weigh enough to make the wrestling team.

    i havnt gained weight and im short and i hav a normal weight formy height but like most girls im not happy wit my body i know im not fat but i do ahv big boobs for my age so i dont look like a stick like my friends... i basically just wanna be healthier and tone up a bit maybe lose some fat on my thighs so basically i gota exercise i just need the time and motivation!!!!!!!

    Yeah i believe i would need a way to gain weight....I've been between 80 to 83 lbs. for the past 2 or 3 years now. But i'm also short so i guess maybe thats why, but i get called anorexic alot, which sucks. Actually it doens't matter if i eat or don't eat. Before, like a year or so ago i use to eat, and eat and eat. And all i ever ate was junk food and fried food...its what i lived on...seriously lol!. And even though i ate so much i gained no weight what so ever. And now i literally have to force myself to eat because i'm never hungry, i don't really know why but i'm just not. And still i'm the same weight. Talk bout random! lol! Ne wayz so my goodbye 2005, and hello diet will be to find a way to put on some pounds! yup yup!

    As far as toning up, this will sound really stupid, but if you have a bit of cash it really works. My mom invested in the FIRM arobic and weight lifting videos and I so I borrowed them and they are freakin hard, but do AMAZING THINGS! So yeah, just an idea. I am sorry about all you guys that can't gain wieght, it must suck to me called Anerexic a lot, just make sure you don't ever become one, not a good idea. And make sure the ways you try to gain wiegh are safe. Okay now I sound like a mom, lol. Just I don't know, good luck to you guys.

    Angelina, if you're not vegetarian or vegan then the only way to gain weight healthily is eating a LOT of protein. That means bacon and eggs for breakfast, meat and milkshakes for lunch and more meats for dinner.
    My dad used to be a champion weightlifter in Australia when he was young and he said that he would have up to twelve raw eggs a day. And how do you eat them?
    In milkshakes. Mix a big cup of whole milk, a raw egg, only the yolk if you have a bit of trouble digesting the white, then add a spoonful of protein powder if you have any, or just some flavoring, like chocolate powder, or vanilla, or your favorite flavor. Also, if you can still taste the egg add a blob of icecream.
    If you gain muscle then you'll weigh more but still look great.
    It is also a very good idea to work out with weights, as well as a bit of running and some aerobics. But if you want to weigh more then investing in some smallish dumbells is a good idea.

    I like the title and the idea itself isn't half bad. Only one thing that's standing in my way....I make this resolution every year and a couple of month later I forget I started a whole new year with an empty promise.

    Oh well, I forgot what I was saying.

    As for Angie and tip of gaining weight...

    I suggest you become a super star, those people always gain weight.

    That is why I made this thread, so we can remind each other and keep up the diet thing! ^ ^ I am not committed enough to do it myself, lol. Go figure. Thanks for the complement on the title, it made me smile!
