Ok so as you probably know, there is a girl who's parents are going to or have already sued Myspace. |

I agree, it's a completely idiotic accusation. The girl was a bimbo, sorry to be rude, in giving her personal information to this person. I feel bad for her beacused sje was raped, but you think someone would be smarter. |

maybe it's the parents' fault, and they'd rather start blaming something else besides themselves. |

Yeah, i agree...but really...why would someone in their right mind go and meet some stranger she met on the internet...how stupid do you have to be?>??...And they're sueing myspace??....Wow....what are they going to say.."oh well we let our daugter use ur site and there she met a guy and invbited him to come and see her, giving him all her information..and so now we want to sue you because our daughter got raped and we werent watching out for her"...yeah..they're gunna win that case for sure....:| |

I think that you can meet some really nice people over the internet. But there are always the bad ones. And its completely idiodic for her to go out and meet him if obviously in the first place she didnt know him well enough to know he is the kind of person who would do that. They won't win anything because its her fault she is stupid enough to meet up with him in the first place. You can meet people anywhere, on the street, and they can rape you, who is to blame then? |

Some people would blame anyone or anything before admitting that it was their own stupid fault. |

so, she's naive. she's not at fault here. her parents and the guy are. she's just a victim. |

Myspace Monitors The Site, And As It Has Already Been Previously Stated Myspace Warns You Never To Let Out Any Personal Info., Myspace Is Not At Fault For The Idiotic Choice That This Young Lady Has Made, I Have Remorse For Her Being Raped Because I've Been There Before It Can Be Pretty Traumatizing...But On The Other Hand I Didn't Put Myself In The Position To Be Raped Or Taken Advantage Of And She Did...So How Is Myspace At Fault?? The Parents Should've Never Let Her Get On a Website Like That If They Knew She Was Too Weak-Minded And Wasn't Capible Of Of Keeping Private Info To Herself And Watching And Avoiding Pedophiles xoxo-Nikki-xoxo |

myspace PUTS on the site that you should not give out your personal information. they should not be sued. it was the girl who invited the guy to meet her, not myspace. it isnt like they said, "hey i have an idea, lets make a website where a girl can meet somebody, get raped by him, then sue us for no apparent reason! YAY!" |

It is seriously uncomprehendable to me why news stations, (Dateline ABC), is making it seem like these girls who are getting raped are the poor, littlest victims ever known. |

It is totally the girl's fault...stupid mentality I think it is, meeting people over the internet and falling in love and all that. I just can't see that as a good method for anything at all. Must be the dumbest idea that ever came out. Myspace should take no blame for it, but an awareness streak should come out to parents or they should be slapped around and realize that 1. Don't trust your children too damn much, especially a naive teenage girl, and 2. The internet is not a safe dreamland. |

I have Myspace, and my mom sees alot of it. Most of the time I invite her to look at it. Because one, even if I'm 14 I know I'm not an adult and I know there are pedofiles out there and don't feel like getting raped again, and two she can see what I'm doing in my room so it's not like I'm hiding from her. If I have something I don't want her to see, chances are it souldn't be on there, correct? Honestly parents DO need to take more action in teenagers lives. |

Any site, no matter what it is, has the possibility of having that exact same thing happen. Even this site, for crying out loud. It only happens because the stupid girls (who never learned from their stupid parents) think that there's this amazing guy out there waiting for them. And chances are, they've shown pictures of themselves half-naked so they could get the attention of this "amazing guy". Then, they go down there, and voila, the "amazing guy" rapes them! WHO KNEW RIGHT? lol |

The only reason to sue myspace is so that the current owner, Rupert Murdoch will not ba able to make any decisions about his company. |
