Pagan/Wiccan poets

I just wondered how many pagan/wiccans there were on the site. I'm a wiccan and am interested in meeting more ppl like me. i would also like to join a coven but i live in a small town and if there were a coven here they would probibly hide from all the narrow minded ppl that live in the community. I'm interested in learning as much as i can about Wicca.
I'm not really interested in what everyone in the world thinks about the religion because i think that point has been made one thousand times over so unless u have something nice to say....SHUT UP!

Wicca is a religion that was started like athousand years ago but some ppl think it was only started like 50 years ago but w/e. We worship the goddess and the god and nature and the elements. The holidays are centered around the canging seasons. and i think thats the basic outline but i may have missed something. if so exuse me and anyone that nows it correct me please.

Well the goddess is the earth and the god is nature.

Yeah alot of us consider them selves witches but others wiccan and still others pagans. but really paganism is a larger group of religous ideas. the way some1 expained it 2 me was 'all wiccans are pagans, but not all pagans are wiccans.'

Its not that hard to get info on just go to a search engion like google or somthing and type in ''Wicca" or somthing like that. and alot of book stores carry books on them. i think they'd be in the 'new aged' section.

I am a full head on WICCAN, and theres alot more to it than the earth and nature, there are different typed of magik, amd u will notice i spelled magic differet, its becaue magic is like sum one who pulls a rabbit out of a hate, and magik is the power of nature, you obviously dont know as much about it as you think you would, becuase no one knows it all, not even me, and i have read the wiccan bible, my friend let me borrow it

Wicca is just a bastardized version of Paganism, right?

Like....they sort of go hand in hand, but Wiccan drop some beliefs that Paganism has.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'd like to know more.

  • Stephanie Naylor

Your right, its just the fact that wiccan and pagan are pretty much the same, but wiccans have a little bit different beliefs, like there are sum pagans who belive in all this stuff, but still belive in god

  • Jordan

Yes, and Pagans have many gods and goddesses, don't they?

Or is new age Paganism different?

  • Stephanie Naylor

I'm screwed up lols I follow the Druid beliefs more then Wiccan but I also go to a Christen youth group and believe in that god also ^_^

Both my older sister and I were born with "gifts" since it runs in our blood line so yeah but we both kinda combine all the beliefs together to form what feels right to each of us ^_^

Wicca is realy intersting. There is so much to it, and it's fun to read about it. However, I don't know much about either religions. I have one or two poems that may fit the idea though? I'm not sure if it's actually Wiccan. I'll edit this post once I find which I'm talking about.

edit- well, maybe i don't have one. i'll link you anyway.

    http://www.best-love-poems.com/poems.php?id=860587

i think i may right one soon.

could you give me more of a summary of the religion?

please and thank you, please do it via pm though.

  • Anthony

Well yeah i know theirs more than nature and the elements like there is magik in each and every thing. and thats an important asspect[sp?]. there's alot of meditation. and the use of positive energy and removing negative energy. its alittle like native american beleifs. i will admitt[sp?] i dont know everything about the religion but enough to know that this is were i belong. and that is also why i posted this to see if i could find someone to sort of guide me through my choosen path.

I'd also like to get my hands on a Wiccan bible.

I looked into wiccan while back and I perceive them to be quite tolerent of other religions and somewhat different than the negative face some of the christian religions paint them with.

LMFAO BlankIllusion, you just made my day xD Your not the first to tell me that lols My favorite phrase is "heaven won't let me in but hell's afraid that I'll take over" lols

But anyway all joking aside I'd love to hear your views and reasons as to why you say that =) You can pm me if you want =)

I believe in God but I also believe in the Goddess, I believe that both their spirts are in everything and that we need to be in flow with the power that flows through everything. I also believe in all the things that people tell me all the time don't exsist and I'm just making up lols

If you want to read a good Wiccan book that covers a lot on practicing read Embracing The Moon ^_^ I think of the name of the person who wrote it right now though lols

You Paaganns make me sick...With your naked moon dancing and your ritualistic blood offering to the moon...To your athame's and your altars, and your spells and incantations, to your summons and magic or magick as you call it...

    Bah Humbug...Lol (jk)

I said if you dont have anything nice to say SHUT UP!

and besides that there are no blood offerings or sacrafices...the athame is not to do any physical cuting, if it does it is to be destroyed! so i think you should look more into what you feels so strongly about before you run your mouth about stuff you have no idea about and if we dont want to shave thats our kick not yours...so Get over it!

  • Noir

    Ha Ha Ha...

It was a joke...And most of the things I said were pagan, rather than wiccian, so don't get your panties in the proverbial knot...

Plus that saying needs to be "If you got something smart to say, then do not shut up...And what I said was smart...So there

Lmfao Believe me, I do shave, wash and look and act like a normal everyday girl lols Except for when I wear my pentacle and everyone will walk to the other side of the street rather then walk by me for fear of being cursed *and yes they actually do that!* lols I'm not sure where I'll go when I die, or if I'll just be stuck here in purgatory forever lols But I think only a fool really knows where he's going for sure lols But if I do end up in hell then I'll be glad for the company lols

That is the reason that i have choosen a symbol that is not so obviose. I'm not really sure what it's called but it's simply three swirls conected that can mean either the three phases of the goddess or if your christian it can meen the "father son and holy spirit" but right about after the time i bout the neclace i seen pentacles every where, When i closed my eyes in the disingns of every thing. so i think i am ment to have a pentacle.

    Lol...

Isn't it funny that paganism today is performed by people from the middle class...

What's also funny is that it is many performed by people from the western countries...

    How funny...

  • Beauty In The Breaking

Oh...the three cycles design that you choose is called the Trinity and yes in the Christian beliefs it stands for The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit but in pagan beliefs it can stand for either the God, Goddess and your spirit or the God, goddess and the earth =) It actually has a whole history behind it 8as every symbal does*

hehehe Actually I find it funnier then hell when people will go out of their way to not walk by me xD I've also noticed that guys stare at me more when I'm wearing it even if I know they don't know what it means lols

My grandfather, though not a witch in conventional terms, was a real old gentlemen pagan. He used to take me long walks through forests and fields, showing me herbs and telling me amazing stories about what they can do for colds and cuts and emotions etc. He learned all this from a woman he met during the second world war, I think in France or Germany, I can't remember that part. What i do recall is that he said you can't learn this stuff from books, and lets be honest, magik, like hex's and any spell that claims to do anything even remotely supernatural, is nonsense and I defy anyone to prove to me otherwise, either by research or some other means.

At most, you need to be born with a natural sensitivity to nature and the subtle understandings it can offer to even begin to think you can effect matter using it's power. Dressing a certain way and reading some books that tell you about making knots in bits of string whilst thinking of something you want does not make you a pagan.

It's about how you live and think, not anything visual or academic. Though i know that it is very hard to find good teachers nowsdays, especially in the cities.

Just really ask yourselves what you are reading about, think about what these books are saying and weigh it with a detached scientific mind.

blessed be and all that....mwa ha.

I used to but I left. Infact I used to host my own site on puzuzu, infamous magical spells, potions, powders, from herbs with the Oldest magical spells. There were Health Ritual, Love Ritual, Lover Spell,Success Spell, Gamblers` Ritual, Money Drawing Ritual, Separation Ritual, Protection Ritual, Legal Aid Spell, Wandering Lover Spell, Uncrossing Ritual, Black Arts Spell, and more. But finally I left everything because of a very bad experience with this in my life. No exaggeration on it. I shut everything down eventually, because of the unpleasant and wicked results. I lost something which was very precious in my life because of this.

    Saludos,

People are Wiccan so they can be like, "I'm Wiccan." Then think to themselves, "Damn. I'm cool."

Seriously, it's true. Don't hate on a playa.

I'm not full on Wiccan, but I'm studying to possibly become one. I've only read from a few sources so far, but I'd really like to learn more to make a descision.

    I read a 400-paged book on it, here's a basic overview:
Wiccans believe in a central God and Goddess, who are in everything, even you. One is not better than the other, and it isn't like the Christian God whom "rules" over everyone.
Wiccans do not believe in Satan, or ultimate evil. Some believe in reincarnation, and after death you will go to the Summerland to think about reincarnating. If you do not wish to do so, you are reabsorbed into the All, a mix of all of the Gods and Goddesses there are.
Wiccans do practice Magick, but the magick is inside you. They will generally cast a magick circle, perform a ritual to honour a specific God or Goddess, and then say a chant or make a potion.
Wiccans are VERY centered towards nature. They believe in karma, and are generally very "green" and helpful towards the environment.
They cast spells, make potions, use tarot cards, you get the picture.
Wiccan holidays are based on the changing seasons, called Sabbats and Esbats.

That's my take on it, going by what I have read so far.

My step mom and dad are both Wiccan. They feel very relaxed and free. I'm not Wiccan but I think wiccan's are good people just like everyone else. :)
