The Grumpy Club

The Grumpy Club

There is a place where I belong
with others of like mind.
We cuss and moan and rail about
our lives and all mankind.

In here I can feel safe and sound
with friends who understand
my foibles, fears and worries that
sometimes get out of hand.

I sometimes snap or bite the head
of those that I hold dear
But these, my friends, all understand
and lend to me an ear.

So if you feel like ranting or
you're prone to acting out.
Come join us in our special place
and let loose with a shout.

This made me smile, even from the title. I think it shows a sarcastic side to the pain we hide, and how sometimes you can just be humorous and let it out.

I think you have been honest in a stanza, where you admit to snapping at the ones closest to you - again such an honest part of life and reality, we all do this and will probably continue to do so. But, we know they understand and feel the same things we feel.

I love how you create this club for your reader, and make them want to join it too!!
