LIFE IS FRAGILE

by Oluwaseye Olayode Taiwo   Feb 19, 2015

Life is precious yet so fragile,

Like a thin smoke of dissolved air!

Life is a walking shadow!

Cautious be you in this path!

It's a cycle of an unknown

tomorrow from a known today.

A tomorrow to worry not about,

but a today to survive.

A guide from the past, to harness
the bounties of the future.

Like a shining lamp in the steel dark,

the breath of life flourishes.

And in a sudden swooshing of winds,

It disappears out of existence.

A still of a second, gliding among mortals.

A thunderbolt of years, reclining

among forefathers.

Hold dear with love that which

counts.

Make hays in the shines of the sun.

Nothing lasts forever; forever lasts

in nothingness.

Life is all but a dream of arts

And the day of your birth, you begin its designs.

You sway in mistakes and errors.

You bask in success euphorias.

You crawl the morning of toddlers,

race the youth of hot noons,

and strolls in the evening pangs of ages

An ambivalence of contradictory

clouds of sadness, mixed with rains of happiness it is.

From the day of our christening our tales begins,

And onto the day our withering, our names shall resounds

For Good or for Bad,

Our deeds shall echoes into eternity.

In the sand of times, shall it been written.

Life like a midst, appears for just a while.

It's a brief wind of existence.

Just to the unjust, yet unjust to the just.

A dream with no waking, until death.
