Grown-Ups

Give me your hand and I'll take you around for a while.
I'll teach you to dance, to skip, and to prance like a child.
And I'll keep on singing of the joy that you're bringing to me.
And in the end, we'll rest for the night with a smile.

It's all in the way you let yourself play this game.
The weathers will change; the seasons will fade on away.
But you keep on finding that innocent and youthful pride.
And we'll laugh together for days and we'll take life in stride.

There's no right or wrong, just a song of some words and a melody.
With nothing to do but to live this life that we lead,
We can push on through as we weather the worst of the storm.
A child at heart - it's my wealth, my health, and disease.

Because we're falling faster than any old eye
Can follow us down as we crash from the sky
And we fight and we struggle through life and ask why
Is this only happening to me?
