Tonight I Sleep

by Melpomene   Jan 16, 2011

Tonight I sleep -

brushed by the warmth of
a thousand leaves,

burning moths

and the wind chimes of your breath.

Your touch was a ripple
on my chest,

Unutterable the way you'd
perch Morpheus on my window

and I'd dream of;

-sunken suns-
tangled in Medusa's hair

a desire to touch your soul with;

unicorn horns -

a talisman for our love.

Sometimes I'd wake to

a monsoon at my feet
Thor thrashing above my head,

you'd conquer fear on Pegasus wings

- flying -

to my heart and back.

Tonight I sleep -

brushed by the warmth of
blazing autumn leaves,

his body heat

and the wind chimes of his breath
'pon my neck.

`Thank you to my inspirational muses of RTVW, Deana & Lu, you helped me add some magic to my writing, & thank you to Britt for sending her creative vibes my way :P .. & of course this is dedicated to him, for being my light on those dark days.
