Aoi no Sora

by Eminent Bard   Mar 22, 2012

Whenever I see the sky so blue
I always remember the smile of you
To see the glaring rays of the sun was your delight
Gasping through the breeze in the demured light

You used to walk under the blazing sun
A playful young lady you're surely one
But when we passed by an old oak tree
Just then you wanted exceedingly to stay

So there we were, both of us in bliss
And every wave of your hair I haven't missed
The way you rolled your eyes and your laugh so cute
Leaving me weak and making me mute

You used to let me sing your favorite songs
Sweet melodies that didn't just last so long
Though I really didn't have that golden skill
Still, like a promising artist, you did make me feel

At the end of the day, your smile never fade
For just then we would wait under the shade
The most lovely moment you've been waiting for
To see the setting of the sun, nothing more

You used to tell me one of your dreams
How you wanted it to happen and all of your schemes
You've longed to paint the dimming sky
And to dance ashore before saying goodbye

You really did have silly dreams
But I would just imagine of how it seems
And after the scenic view faded away
We then departed and went separate ways

I used to see this scene over my mind
Over and over again I see this kind
For the past haunts me each and every time
To make me write this one tragic rhyme

Perhaps time cheats us in a way
When it never let us see what we foresee
I may not make your dream come true
For that couldn't be fulfilled without you
