Just going through this thing called life,
not wanting mine to be full of strife.
People living theirs day by day,
it's not like anyone makes it out alive anyway.

Many people trying to be something their not,
but being who you truly are isn't something that can be bought.
Money is great but it wont last,
just as you got it it'll be gone that fast.

Being beautiful is great but it'll all fade away,
as the years go by, day after day.
True beauty is what people will remember most,
when at the end of your life theyll be giving the toast.

I just want to be remembered as just me,
nothing special as the eye can see.

Just plain jane silly ol me.

    I love this poem... not many people see that life is extremly short so why be someone else or be fighting for something and end up in jail or prison for it because of silly stupid decesions.. be true to yourself is the message i got from this and to live life to the fullest, i absolutely love this poem. it is written very well. 5/5

    What a lot of people strive to have (beauty, money..) won't really matter in the end. I like how you penned this.

    Sort of sarcastic, but my favorite lines anyway :)
