I know a girl

by Yakari Gabriel   Oct 9, 2012

I know a girl who carries more
stories than the bible, who's
under eyes are often purple and blue
from the nights she spends awake
just tossing and turning, unable
to find the best side to her pillow

I know a girl who is so full
of dreams and hopes, she
is often called delusional,
she's absent often, you can find
her on the sofas of her house looking
into the walls and thinking of absolutely
nothing

I know a girl who has people,
who claim to love her,who tell her
she's beautiful, and talented,
and admirable, but she does
not believe it..

I know a girl, I know her deeply.
I know how heavy her heart is,
and I know how many tears she hides
away. and I truly know how much
she suffers

simply because, she doesn't understand
that she has to love herself, simply because
she feels like her life has too many
missing ingredients to ever become
a satisfying meal.

I know a girl, I know all the sides
of her. although too many
times, I wish I did not know her
at all.

Yaks Oh Yaks...This is just mind blowingly awesome, like it is the most demandingly emotional poem from you ever...I don't know what it is about you and thinking you aren't a good writer because you ARE...You are like the most unique, captivating, totally crazy poet out there and that's why I love you, and we all love you and now I am rambling on because I loved this so much, and because I just wrote one of my deepest poems and I want to hug you, and for you to hug me....

Damn, you girl, you just write with such passion, such effortlessly and I am totally touched, totally in awe.

    Love you, love this...
    Just WOW
and I don't know why I never commented before, I've read this countless of times, and it moves me every single time.
    Now more than ever

If only that girl knew how charming she can be. That was so melancholic and expressive, Yakz.
