Look Behind His Walls

by Someone Invisible   Nov 10, 2013

Eyes of melted ice but hardened when provoked,
shields of many hide away his heart,
years for his trust to be gained,
but just seconds will it take from you to part.

The fascade of "I don't care",
may fool almost all,
but years I've been around,
and I see behind his walls.

When he believes no one is looking,
you can see it in his eyes,
the raging storm is there,
from all the spoken lies.

This poem reminds me so much of my bro. He has the whole facade going on but no one can really see past it until you learn to really understand him and be patient.i love this poem.

I absolutley loved this piece. So many lies and deceit so it is extremely difficult and takes years for anyone to be let in to his heart. One slip up and you are back to square one. he says he doesnt care but in reality we all do, but behind his walls, behind the armor that he has built around his heart he's crying. 5/5 great poem MKDTA
