naturally,

by ether   Mar 14, 2017

what could i tell you
about bravery and love,
when all of my passions
diffuse from beneath my skin
behind closed doors.

they turn to steam,
i open the window.
eyes travel to the sunlight and,
depending on the time of day,
will burn
or heal.

either way, it’s solitude.
there is no exchange
of pleasantries or poetries;
no doors to be unhinged.

naturally,
my love has hair like the sun
and is equally unobtainable.
