Dust in the Wind

Pieces of me
fall to the floor,
sweep me to the side;
discard my soul

for

I

am

dust.

Kansas wrote a song
for me,
"dust in the wind"
and I sang it's melody
to the tune of every
tear drop that escaped
from within .....

There is always that one song
that you feel was written for you-
I left Kansas the day I stopped singing;

because nobody listened...
