Stagnancy

by Someone Invisible   Jan 1, 2018

I lie in bed, staring blindingly outward,
unblinking,
so focused inside of my body.
My lips
are just barely parted and
I can taste the stagnancy of my life
as the motes of who I used to be
drift and dissolve against my tongue.
And I stay like this for hours.
