Commitment.

by Phoenix ¥   May 11, 2018

You could give me your friendship,
You could give me your time,
You could give me your body
As I gave you mine.

You could give me your love
You could give me your care
Is that not enough?
No I can’t leave it there.

Can’t stop thinking about the choice you made.
And what that says about us.
I think it probably says it all,
It never really was.

You see to me it all makes sense,
I wouldn’t have been resistant.
But you saw things differently
You wouldn’t show me that commitment.

Loved this. An emotional captivating write of unrequited love. The emotion leaps from the page and leaves no doubt as to what has unfurled. Milly x

A really good write, it seems rare to find two in the same place in a relationship.

Thanks William and I agree it’s an extremely rare phenomenon and usually fleeting in my experience.
