Words are Painful to Write

by Maple Tree   Apr 8, 2019

I spotted silvery, spikes
along a very large wall,
encased was a child
born unto me; an animal
she is not.

A mother loses her soul
each spring, when her child
prepares to leave, a heavy
darkness falls as the night
sky plays tricks on her heart.

I've never known sorrow
such as this, and its very
painful to write each letter
to shape this poem- but she
urges me to write;

and so I write.

Andrea, hugs my friend- I have not a word to Express or convey my sadness. Your words cause an ache in my heart knowing where your sorrow is.

Your poetry is so steeped in emotion and love. There’s an aura in your writing that you feel every word. Sometimes it results in honest brilliance. Writing is bearing our soul and I’m glad you do :)

I truly missed your poetry, but this one is so heartbreaking. And I do agree writing and sharing your toughest times, is an act of bravery that warms our hearts <3

And so you write as a beautiful soul faces something no one should ever have to... but you write and in that, I see bravery and truth and purity.

    Hugs hugs hugs
