So be...

by Melissa   Mar 1, 2006

So be charming
with your tasteful tongue
and it's subtlety.
Lick me with your words,
my body reads
all your ingenious verses
and I love what your singing.
So don't quiet our melody,
merge into me
and our song shall play as one.

So be selfish
and brush your hands
on my hot flesh.
You know they move too fast
for me to read the lines,
written on your palms.
Overflow my soul
with your loving words
and mine will play on repeat
for your ears to hear alone.

So be mysterious
and humor me
with your malicious games.
I'm not afraid to play along
with all your monopolies,
but sometimes I win
and that scares
the hell out of you.
So you packed up
your pieces,
stashing them
in a dark closet
far out of my reach.

So be scared
of wanting me
and hide inside the walls
of your untouchable soul.
Where I still long to be,
but your guards
chased me away
by the sound of a gun shot.
Leaving me with no choice,
but to escape it's fire.
So I'm sending you
an unrealistic plea,
can you hear me
inside your bloody dreams?

WOW!!!! I love this poem. It has so much depth of feeling. So simple, yet so complex ... your mind and your ability with words is a truly wonderful mixture. Well done
