A real neat show

by Melissa   Feb 9, 2016

Oh your cryptic lines play words
like a carnival game;
I'm the bull's eye
you're the dart fluttering by,
never kissing its target

and the prize
is always an opportunity
for a bigger prize

I want to be a gypsy
dishing fateful omens at passersby,
or better yet, the queen of cups
resting in your hand

but I'm merely a girl,
with a cotton candy tongue,
words playing like a carousel
around and around and around

There is such a large variety of wording that is so fun and detailed that I had to highlight this piece.

The structure within the formatting also allows the reader to have fun reading this piece.

I felt like I was at a carnival and I do believe that was meant to be the metaphor and the message within the lines is very powerful..

Melissa has a true gift for pouring out her feelings within descriptive detail and metaphors!! Just wonderful
