All I want for christmas

All I want for Christmas
Is my mommy to be here
She was diagnosed with cancer
Around this time last year

The doctor said mommy will not make it
That there is just no way
He told my daddy she'd be lucky
If she saw my 5th birthday

But my birthday has come and gone
And my mommy is still here
She's proved that doctor wrong
Because Christmas day tomorrow is a year

My mommy and I are close
She puts me on the school bus everyday
Says " I'll be here when you get off
And I love you very much OK"

My mommy just finished reading our book
Because tonight was Christmas eve
She said " I'll see you in the morning buddy
I love you and I'll never leave"

Morning could not come fast enough
As I rush downstairs to meet mommy in her chair
To see all I want for Christmas
But my mommy isn't there

    I hate sad poems. they make me cry.
    If this really happened then I am so very sorry for the loss. true the flow wasn't perfect but the message was crystal clear great job.
