Only sleeping

by Espoirfailed   Aug 15, 2007

You stole the stars and robbed them of their magic.
I hope it was worth it.
You put them in your rented house,
So that everything looked perfect.

Your drink fuelled talk helped you pull and
Tonight, for you, there are only these four walls.
There's no small talk because you wouldn't know what to say.
Just find a way to shut the doors and make her stay.

The stars slide down the walls,
Because only true romance could have kept them up.
The stars slide down the walls,
Because your empty promises weren't enough.

You exhale and pant,
Whilst pulling her pants
Down.

I thought we'd never moved on
And our feelings were only sleeping.
I always had hope.
Well, you supplied me with a noose and a rope.

I guess you killed more than the stars tonight.
I guess we're more than just sleeping.

Only you can make it alright.
