Thirty

by cassie hughes   May 26, 2015

Thirty.

Seconds stretched like years
to loudly scream your name.

Thirty.

Minutes silence thick and
cloying strangled all my dreams.

Thirty.

Miles an hour on impact
siren call, discordant sings.

This poem is so powerful! Three small statements but it screams so much about the tragic scene, and it really shows the loss.

    Well done!
