World of fear and hate.....we must open our eyes

Why do we live in a world,
that resorts to violence and hate?
why must we fear everyday,
so many lives at stake.

is it the media?
and the fear they portray?
is it fear of the news,
they show violence everyday!

or is it poverty?
people stealing to live,
why cant we just share?
we all have love to give.

is it our weapons?
they sell them everywhere,
is there some connection?
why must the masses not care?

open your eyes and see,
we shouldnt have to fear,
lets try to keep peace,
lets stand strong here.

we must not give in,
to what the media shows,
its all about ratings for them,
the damages they dont know.

lets help out and feed the poor,
noone should steal to live,
we have hearts within us,
we have our love to give.

more guns in our homes,
should mean a more safe place??
no, not when we have people,
with minds that hate.

we cannot be weak,
we must stand strong,
bring back peace and love,
and we will live long.

we have guns, so many guns......that means the world should be safe right???? well thats bullshxt. the media instills fear upon us, and if you open your eyes....you will see that everyone in this country is afraid....afraid of what the media has portrayed every day on the television. War, Violence, Poverty, and Hatred.....and the hate builds from the fear......and just like that...we live in an unsafe country. unsafe from ourselves. its time to see past the bullshxt and start loving and being peaceful.....i know im just a guy in a big world....and my voice may not be heard.....but if we all start seeing then we will all be heard.
