A soliders wife

by Gizmo   Feb 28, 2008

She closes her eyes through tears,
a fake smile-a broken heart-sad eyes,
the things she knows hes seeing,
she lies down on her bed off lies.

a letter crumpled, wet through tears,
just 2 recieved over 3 long years,
'please come home, i don't want you to die,
i'm writing this letter- a soliders wifes lullyaby.'

Although different countries, this is probably the very same thing many people are thinking over here.

It's a poem that crosses boundaries in the form of love.

Wow, I really liked this. It's amazing how so few words/lines can give so much emotion and insight to what a person's feeling.

Amazing job, keep it up darling
