Stolen Kisses

by Latosha Conatser   Mar 11, 2008

We sit alone in a darkened room,
You grab my hand and look into my eyes.
I can't catch my breath,
It's like you can see deep inside my soul.
You come closer and my heart starts pounding,
You kiss me softly.
I feel ashamed,
I know my boyfriend will be very angry,
He'll want to tear you apart.
I back away,
Lonely and afraid,
I know I can't take back a couple stolen kisses.

Beautiful work - the legnth of the single stanza really draws the reader into the text. If it were any longer (or any shorter, for that matter) I don't think it would be quite so powerful.

    Excellent work!

    I loved this.
You made me go from thinking these two had more than just a friendly relationship, to informing me that she was with another.

It's good to know that there are some ladies out there who respect their men like that. ^-^
