Have You Ever

Have u ever lied in bed,
And cried yourself to sleep?
Have u ever had someone
That you didn't get to keep?

Have u ever cared for someone,
Who didn't feel the same?
And everytime you thought of them,
All it brought was pain.

Have you ever promised your self,
I'm over this person once and for all.
Then all it took was one look,
And once again you'd fall.

Of course you have, we all have.
Because deep inside
We all just want to be loved in return.
But we're afraid, because in the end
We fear we might get burned.

    Wow, I really loved this! You expressed your feelings perfectly and you wrote so this so beautifully. This was my favorite part:

    "Have you ever promised your self,
    I'm over this person once and for all.
    Then all it took was one look,
    And once again you'd fall."

    Your whole poem said so much, and you got the message across clear, so nice job on this!

    Aw!!..i liked it. and its all true!
    i understand completely because im kinda in that situation where i don t think this one guy likes me as much as i like him...

    but anyways, i think the last stanza needs a tad bit of work. it's stated so matter-of-factly that it doesnt seem poemy. but otherwise i loved the poem!..great job!
