Untitled ocean

A little boat
on a placid sea
just a little boat
with little ol me

the waters are blue
with a slight hint of green
and the day is peaceful
if you know what i mean

the light is reflecting
off of shallow waves
and the fishes are dancing
their own music raves

all alone on the ocean blue
just little ol me
some dancing fish
and the placid sea

but suddenly the horizon
a storm does appear
and suddenly the fish
swim off in fear

the sunlight stops playing
and the waves become cruel
suddenly i'm so alone
and i miss the fish school

the rain begins to fall
the wind whistles all around
my knees begin to shake
my head prays for solid ground

the grey sky opens
and thunder does clap
and fluttering away
goes my little map

so i am lost and alone
in this tumultuous sea
crying out for safety
but i'm alone, just me

the ocean blue
now turns to grey
and i know that
this could be my last day

i thank god in heaven
for what i once had
and i pray for forgiveness
for being so bad

for loving the world
and loving the sea
i seek forgiveness
lord, please, forgive me

lost in the waves
no one does hear
my final cry
my plead filled with fear
