Could you handel it?

by MeltInHisArms   Mar 26, 2008

I can hear the cries,
pulling at my sides.
Words you can't understand,
no more helping hands.
Soulless screams,
under the moon light beam.
I see all the bleeding,
and cries for help I keep perceiving.
Pretending smiles,
to me come down in piles.
The truth only I can see,
only I read the stories.
Happy eyes,
are all just lies.
What can I do? where do I go?
how am I all who knows?
Everywhere they lay before me,
I feel it's my responsibility.
I must ask you,
what would you do?
If only you could feel,
what everyone else feels?
If you could see,
what they see?
And only you see all the pain on a face,
the sense of responsibility could you replace?
You would see the tears swell in their eyes,
and marks on arms covered by lies.
Could you handle your life wile taking on other's pain?
could you ignore it all or would you go insane?
