A flower is like a friendship

by xKeepxHoldingxOnxAndxNeverxLetxGox   Apr 16, 2008

A flower is a mystery
So curious, so bright
Yet so weak and dainty
Sweet smelling yet oh so dirty

A flower is like a friendship
It only stands until stepped on
So strong together
Yet so weak alone

It starts out bright
Then begins to weaken off the stem
Making it's way to old
Then ends up dead

Different colors
Many smells
Same way grown
But all equally as great

A friendship is like a flower
Unique in it's own way
Many different colors
But they all end up the same

They end up useless
Only for looks until they're dead
It might last awhile
But until then it stands alone

In the wind it blows
Blows a thousand petals
In the rain it falls
Falls to the floor

Shaking wind breaking it
Rainy days making it grow
Tons of ways to make it great
Yet they're only used for looks

Reminds you of something
Sure does, like a friend who uses you
Makes you great
Then breaks you

In winter it's dead
In the summer and spring it shines so great
Making everyday a living hell
And taking every petal to use

These here are the petals of friendship
Start out great
Ends up dead
Begins as a mystery
