Fading memories

Alone in the park I walk
I see this girl, her face
So sad filled out with misery
Yet hallowed by memories of the past

Alone she is
No place called home
Gone she stumbles to ward the river banks
Leaving behind the shadows of another day

Down by the river she sits
Dipping her small little toes
Sun high in the sky
Cast a shadow of her fragile body
The Sillouet I see is not of her
But to my surprise it is me

To what is this I see, just another
Fading Memories
As I watch this moment fade
Black and white becomes the shade
This to me i might just find
A little more than a frighting sight to see

Memories of my childhood fade away
Just like another cold April day

Suddenly i here her say
"Memories fade just like that
Dont forget to look back
Take two steps forward and one turn back
Remember my dear, life is short take in the good remember the old, shut out the bad, hold off the cold."

Sweet and soft thats what she said to me,
I was back to back with my fading memories

As I turn to look at her
There is nothing there
But the Cold blowing wind
On my short dark hair
