Showed the world

See, there was once this girl,
who like so many was depressed.
Mom said "shes doing it for attention"
The rest said "shes just stressed"
now this girl sits alone in a corner,
hiding from the world
hoping they'll see that theres more to her
than just a troubled teenage girl
See, there was once this girl,
who more than anything wanted love
she tried like hell, but lost her way.
so she drew her pain in blood.
still sitting in the corner,
she cries upon her knees,
dries her eyes when mom walks in,
"i think i lost my keys"
See, there was once this girl,
who took up a new habit
that left her unable to wear short sleeves
and the other kids wouldn't have it.
so now they call her emo.
just another obstacle to overcome.
but them kids are the ones responsible,
for the damage that shes done.
See, there was once this girl,
who seemed so perfect, yet so strange
no one could put there finger on it.
until she began to change.
her clothes became darker,
her smile faded away.
her laughter ceased completely,
yet they never once stopped to ask
"are you OK?"
She was sitting in that corner,
after them kids had shown the world
what happens when depression
takes over a little girl.
She was drawing in that corner,
when she felt her life drain away
she was dying in that corner,
when she finally heard her mom say:
"how could you do this baby girl?
did you not know i loved you?
why couldn't you come to me,
and tell me what u went through?"
see, there was once this mother,
who begged her daughter to wake.
she spoke the words, she so desperately needed,
but they came to late.
So now they sit there in that corner,
mother holding girl,
she died there in that corner,
because of what they showed the world.

    OMG I LOVE THIS ONE.............
i can relate to it and i get it....
you have ALOT of talend and i know how it feel to wonder if any one cares..
all you need is some one to show you that you can talk to them but sometimes they cant even tell what wrong or they just dont bother to ask..........

This made me cry. No lie, it was just that good. I really liked this it had a lot of emotion in it.

See, there was once this girl,
who more than anything wanted love
she tried like hell, but lost her way.
so she drew her pain in blood.

^^^This was my favorite stanza. It made me want to read it over and over again. you have talent. 5/5
