Someday you'll find

This note all aligned

In your old sack of stuff someday

"You'll always be in my heart"

You say because you do...

This note was just meant for you

There's been something on my mind lately
And I'd like to get it off greatly

Listen, you've been carrying
My heart since day one
And knowing you,
The journey's just begun

But I've done way too many things for you
And I need to start following my own dreams
Since you don't care and just don't have a clue
I'll be leaving you as it seems

I'm going to be a leader
I'm going to follow my heart
And my life will only get sweeter
From the road I had the nerve to part

If I fall, I can only get up again
The sun will only set on my side
Doesn't matter when

Because in case you didn't notice
I have my own heart and soul
And don't expect me to visit
Because there's so many better places to go

So thank you for letting me go
And thank you for saving me from being like you
Because you're just a no one in the snow
Compared to what I can do

    It's so hard to leave someone you love, or once loved. But I suppose that it is for the best... sometimes. I really liked how you worded this.

    "Since you don't care and just don't have a clue
    I'll be leaving you as it seems"
    -this part caught my attention. There is a lot of feeling behind it. More than just words.

    Hey Loni,
    wow great job on this one
    and congratulations on breaking free
    and following what you want.
    This poem was written in a really different style
    to your usual poems
    which is great.
    Like they say,
    variety is the spice of life.
    Always remember to follow YOUR dreams
    do the things YOU want to do
    and despite what anyone says
    do the things that make you happy
    don't do something just for the satisfaction of someone else.
    I thought this poem was great and really showed you going free.
