Rest In Peace

by Tyler Durden   Jun 3, 2008

You always used to whistle,
the most amazing tunes,
through your clenched teeth,
to me when I was but a child.

To this day I still don't know,
the full impact you had on me.
If only you could tell me why,
but that will never be.

the day you left me,
my outlook on life changed.
everyone was different,
evil in all the ways you were not.

You used to spoil me rotten,
every time I saw you.
we shared happy times,
and sad, all the way through.

I can never put in to words,
how much I miss you.
You were my idol,
an everyday human being,
who, everyday, made me smile.
The work of an everyday superman.

the day you went,
I cried and cried.
I was so angry with you.
Why did you do that?

We didn't speak.
I missed you.
Still raging about the same old crap.
You were stubborn through and through.

My heart was torn out,
when my mother told me.
All I wanted to do,
was make amends.
I truly missed you.
And now your gone.

I just wanted to say sorry.
in the way that you never can.
Please, I pray.
Rest in peace.

Aw i really liked this. It takes alot to write about something this sad. It hurts when our loved one passes away but remember they are still in all of your hearts so he is still with you all! Great poem though.5/5
