I'm Still Waiting

by Stephanie   Jun 6, 2008

I'm still waiting
The loving gaze has yet to set upon my face
My heart has yet to beat it's unending pace
The beauty for my beholder has yet to reach my eye
No matter how hard I try,
I'm still waiting

I'm still waiting
For that one love to lay down by my side,
To harness my feelings I forever hide
Stroke me gently, stroke me mild,
To tame myself so messed and wild
I'm still waiting

I'm still waiting
All I touch is dense, chilled air,
For I realize the one I love isn't there
My palm throbs with immense pain,
For you never holding is awashed insane
I'm still waiting

I'm still waiting
The warm breath has yet to whisper in my ear,
And the deafening of my lonely heart is all I hear
I'm still looking for the love that is true,
I'm still looking for you
And I'm still waiting
