Can't Afford to Lose You

by Stephanie   Dec 3, 2015

Quit it with the kind looks you give me
Stop it with the sweet things you say
I can't give you the time of day

Be satisfied with the present
Don't be a gentleman
Don't buy me a present
You can't buy my love
Especially when I'm not ready for purchase
So don't fall for me,
I can't catch you

Even if my rapid heart were to turn steady,
Either we will turn to dust
Or turn to the chapel
And I am nowhere near ready,
I can't give you that kind of trust

For if things go the way you plan
This will end
Don't do it, my friend
I can't afford to lose you
