When It Rains, It Pours.

Rain poured down for what seemed like hours,
Leaving nothing but sadness and loss in the Midwest.
It will always be known as one of the largest floods in history,
That forced many to evacuate; leaving their home's fate a mystery.

The flood didn't only include rain, but tornadoes as well,
Which resulted in the death of four boy Scout's lives.
Leaving many devastated and not knowing what to do,
But luckily FEMA would be their most needed rescue.

Shocking photos of Cedar Rapids submerged in water,
Left many wondering if it would remain that way forever.
Many roads today still stay closed,
However the devastation is still exposed.

Nothing will ever match what these violent storms brought,
All that is left in the minds of flood victims; is misery and loss.
Until the Midwest heats up and water decreases,
Everything will remain in small pieces.

So whenever it rains, it pours,
and without warning; flooding may occur.

    I think best poems are from memory of your life, about yourself or something that is important to you or to someone else that you want to write about and this is what you did. This was wonderful poem but a very sad of what happened. Its such a lost when it happens specially flooding.

    It was kick ass. :D I love how you didn't write about a living thing this time, but something that can create as many heart breaks as a person could. It was really great. The rhyming was pretty good too. Five out of five.

    WOW This is like a reality poem , if you could bomb this poem for the midwest I wonder what you could've done for the Hurricane Katrina.

    That was Great But still just remember what i said about the endings. You Gotta blow your readers away FAR!!!
