Let The past Be Our Present

by Goran Rahim   Jun 19, 2008

I woke up with tears in my eyes
It is my angel's birthday
but I am so far
far in distence
but close to her heart.

all day
the song of FARAYDUN was in my ears
"oh beautiful girl, aha khoshkele khonam"
it reminded me of those nights
when sleep was the last thing
in our minds.

what gift should I present you?
Nothing can match your beauty.
but I am presenting you my hand of friendship,
Which will stay until eternity.

On your birthday
I am asking you for those nights
When just FARAYDUN's song was between us.
On your birthday
I am asking you
Let the past be our present.

for my dearest angel ever, on your birthday

Very descriptive by nature, this poem is certainly very emotional. Well written... Good work!

Very imaginative. You summoned a very dear, lovely and picturesque moment from your history. And, like an artist, you painted a fresh picture framed by longing and hope. We all know what that feels like.

This poem is very touching... Lovers...being far away from each others.. Memories...sweet memories.. Tears in eyes... Missing...

    Loving your girl...your gameel gamal...beauty..

Yes, give good memories is the best present one can ever give.
