The Dimples on Your Cheeks

by Goran Rahim   Jan 31, 2012

Tonight,
I wanted to sleep
Without writing any word
For your smile.
Tonight,
I wanted to pretend
I am not touched by your beauty and your style.

But
To convince my words,
I had to show your picture to my heart.
That is when
I noticed the dimples on your cheeks.
Trust me,
It made your picture the purest art.

Wonderful write. I just loved how you portrayed her beauty as your weakness, even while having convinced yourself not to be bothered by it, you still fail. Stanza two was very sweet. 5

This was so cute!! I'm a sucker for love poems and I really enjoyed this one, my boyfriend has dimples too and I wrote a poem called his smiles, in it I describe dimples...I think its adorable!

Ur ending stanza was very sweet calling her smile art. That's a sweet compliment! Well done!

Short, simple, but speaks so many words. This is so sweet. I go through this exact thing that you describe :)
