Dead On The Inside, Lost On The Outside!

by Jack Nightengale   Jun 27, 2008

If only she knew,
If only she was to just listen,
If she did then I wouldn't be feeling Blue!
If she did then Our love would glisten!

I geuss I was foolish,
I geuss I was wrong,
How could I be so selfish!
Why did I wait so long?

I thought she would be my bride,
I was wrong so now I'm Dead On The Inside!
I thought she would forever be by my side,
I was wrong again and now I'm Lost On The Outside!

I enjoyed this, though one suggestion:

"geuss" should be changed to "guess" - it's a small issue, but proper spelling REALLY helps with the flow and structure of a poem.
