If You Look Harder You Might See.

Deep down inside me,
I withold countless feelings -
That I'm hesitant to express.
For the feeling of rejection is alarming.

But, boy.. if you look harder,
You might just see, a girl who likes you.
Someone who would do anything in her power,
Just to be with you for a second.

She's not despondent,
Oh no, she just likes everything about you.
Your ravishing smile gives her butterflies,
And your charisma makes her fall for you harder.

If you would just give her the consolation,
The feeling of being safe,
Maybe she would open up to you,
But until then, these feelings remain concealed.

She will not open up her heart to someone,
like you - someone who doesn't know her well.
The fear of rejection is the only thing on her mind,
She is scared to fall for you -
But if you just look harder, you may just see -
A considerate girl who just wants to be with you.

    Awww ... this is a sweet poem.. ahhhh the fear of rejection.. ive been there and still am lol. i hate to get rejected especially if the person is someone i really care about.. but if you never open up then you will never know what could have been.
