The silent statue series2

by Brennan P   Jul 2, 2008

I see your face in this madness
always there behind my sadness.
I stood waiting in the night,
hidden from your sight,
struggling with all my might
to make this dream live
I saw you there
not knowing what to share
nor why this heart got broken.

as the sun went down;
as the light was dimmed
your eyes met mine;
I refuse to give in
I continue to call your name on the wind
I wait for the answer that hasn't rang in
so in this utter shame I departed
ending up broken hearted
and back to wear I started
there I sat and stayed
and then I became.

as a statue I waited to here your name
not ever believing that I could bear this shame
but in this I lost to my own identity
and then became just plain
so just remember I'm that statue sitting on your window pane.
