Can I ask you a question, will you answer me?
I've done everything I can do, how can I make you see?
I've fallen in love with someone I'll never be with.
Because of all this, soul mates are simply a myth.

Can I ask you a question, will you answer me?
Why do they say that the best things in life are free?
We're only best friends, and never anything more.
I wish I could say this, but he might walk out the door.

Can I ask you a question, will you answer me?
What else do you need, when I'm all I can be?
He is truly the best, and definitely the most elite.
Forever perfection, the best I've yet to meet.

Can I ask you a question, will you answer me?
Why did you do this, make me fall so easily?
He's sweet and he's kind, the most perfect man I know.
I think I should tell him, my feelings will soon show.

    This brings back so many memories, but in different ways. I was in love with someone, however it was a girl, and I remember feeling the same way because at the time she as my best friend and I remember loving her from a distance and never being able to act on it because she was in love with someone else.

    Wow....I Loved The Repetivness, It Absolutely Just Brought The Poem Together.
    I Have Found Myself In This Situation Many Times But I Have Come To Realize That It's Easier And A Lot Less Stressful To Stay Out Of Those Situations. I Waited Almost 2 Years And Have Found The One. So Don't Ever Say That Things R Impossible..
