A 17 year old girl

A 17 year old girl sitting
behind her door with it
slightly cracked, listening
to her parents argue.
Tears rolling down out of
her hazel eyes. They are
arguing because Mom wants
to go. Dad wants to put all
the blame on Mom. The
girl wants to say something
but she's scared. Then they
switch to the subject of her.
Oh god is all she can manage
to whisper while she silently
cries. All of a sudden they call
her name, she quickly sniffles
the tears away standing there in
front of them both. When mom
says "Go on, tell him."
"Tell him what?" she asks.
"Tell him who you would rather go with."
"Mom," she said, trying to hold her
tears back. The questioning goes
on for a few moments more but
to her it seems like hours. When
there was a pause she went back
to her room with tears streaming
out of her eyes.
A 17 year old girl sitting
behind my door silently
crying while writing, waiting
for it all to end.
