Not Like You

by january friend   Jul 25, 2008

Yes, I know I'm dying
Don't tell me
I don't want to know.

If you're in a place
Where I can't see the moon
I don't want to go.

The smoke gets in the way
From being where you are
But I feel your beaconing, begging me to stay.

When a thought can't be stopped
What can one do
A flutter of words, to think a thought.

Fishing alone in a lonely pool where I dwell
I wish I could see how I feel about you
I know war is Hell.
