Days Without You (Collab)

by Ingrid   Aug 24, 2008

Ambiance never had a greater touch
Days gone by without you seemed like years
If many times over to love you just as much,
by now would surely dry a thousand tears
I am poor without you, if not, my money spent
We drift away in sorrow, somehow to forget
But the past is gone, and this is the present
My journey hasn't ended, for it hasn't begun yet

To let go of the demons that hide within your heart,
is the way to break the spell that binds you
and that is when the healing starts
Afraid to let go of the past, we struggle in deep waters
for the unknown holds such imaginary dangers
Once we dare to cross the threshold, we are ready for the leap

We are at a struggle for sympathy, yet the world will never sympathize
Are you alone?
Then let thee release thy prisoner's in regime,
though the vaults of pain can open the door to death
Can you no longer limbo with the faithful?
That your heart can no longer melt the ice that surrounds it?
It is hell's fury, darlin .. it is not mine.
I hold no power to hell, but you can be the devil's weakness
If only for a time.

To let go of all hope and fears
Is the only way freedom is gained
Although the blanket of life surrounds you still,
It has lost its pristine looks and will forever be stained
But life is meant to do just that...
No man is supposed to go through life unaffected,
for you have never truly lived if you have never truly bled
