Face Value

by Kevin   Jun 6, 2004

Should I pre-suppose
that face can show
the nature of it’s owner?

that the wise and kind
having peaceful minds
would show this in their composure

And the angry soul
whom rage does know
would have the power in their features
to scare the meek
turn them white of cheek
as if we’re not all Gods creatures

On the third line of the first stanza, it should read "its", without the apostrophe. God's creatures should have an apostrophe, however, since it is a proper noun. Good poem about a tangible subject.

Yeah, just a ditty about judging people by their faces and how sometimes you can and should be totally wrong.
