Silver Linings

by Kevin   Apr 25, 2020

Sunlight's rays are silver now,
not easy golden as before.
Our vampire skin cries out in shock,
though not in flame for tears of joy.

A warm embrace is precious squared,
no coloured metal can compare.
Sunlit hugs are priceless bounties,
I never knew how much I'd care.

The little things suddenly are not so little and really do have meaning after all.
I enjoyed this, but I cannot escape the feeling of loss I experienced as I read.

    Take care, Kevin.

Why wouldn't the site let me nominate this?
This is just terrific. Is it about the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, then I'm very happy you see the silver linings too.

And yes, I miss hugging everything. Especially dogs.
